Khair Memorial Hospital Basti

Being out here in Basti, everyone knows where everything is. Khair Memorial Hospital Basti is just a local fixture that people have come to rely on over the years. We don't have a complicated address because, honestly, if you're in Basti, you just ask someone and they point you our way. The building is solid and has seen its fair share of seasons. We have a few trees out front that give some shade during the hot months, which is nice for people waiting outside. The interior is pretty basic. We have wooden benches and some posters on the walls about basic health stuff. It’s not a fancy place with glass elevators or anything like that. It’s more of a place where you recognize the person sitting next to you because you probably went to school with their cousin. Our staff are local folks too. They might show up a few minutes late if the rain is heavy, but they work hard once they get here. We don't use a lot of big words or medical jargon when we talk to patients. We just tell them what’s wrong and what needs to happen. It’s a quiet life here for the most part, except for the occasional busy morning when everyone seems to need something at once. We just keep the doors open and do the work that needs doing for the people of Basti. It’s a simple arrangement that has worked for us.
