This place is actually part of the C/O Champa Devi setup in Basti BB, over in Babhanan. It’s a small operation, really. We focus on teaching skills that people can actually use to find work or do better at their jobs. We aren't sitting in a big glass office in a city. We are right here in the local community. The space we use is pretty basic. We have some tools and some desks, and that is about it. We think it’s better that way because it keeps things grounded. We’ve had times where we ran out of supplies or had to fix the roof ourselves, but we keep going. It’s a real place with real people. Most of us grew up around here or nearby. We don't have a big corporate manual. We just figure things out as we go along and try to help the people who walk in the door. If you’re looking for something fancy, this probably isn’t it. But if you want to learn how to do something with your hands or get better at a specific task, we’re here. It's quiet most days until the classes start. We just want to see people in our town doing well. That's the main thing for us, just being a part of the local life here.
