We’re located in Jagdalpur, specifically at 115 in the Hotel Parth premises over in Kumharpara. It’s an interesting spot for an office, being part of a hotel building and all. The Conservation And Research Of Wilderness Foundation is run from here in Bastar. We have a small room that serves as our main hub. It’s usually filled with maps, field notes, and some old computers that take a while to start up. Working in Chattisgarh means we deal with a lot of different environments, but this office is where we come to sort out all the data we collect. It’s not a fancy research lab like you see on TV. It’s just a place with a few chairs and a lot of filing cabinets. We don’t have a big team of experts in lab coats. We’re just local people who care about the wilderness around here. Sometimes the hotel gets busy and it’s a bit noisy, but we just close the door and get on with it. We aren't big on promotional talk or trying to look polished. We just do the work and keep our records as clear as possible. The neighborhood of Kumharpara is pretty lively, so there’s always something going on outside our window. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the small office feels just right for what we do. It’s practical and simple, which is exactly how we like to keep things. It fits the way we work.
