We have been running Rudra Haldi Powder And Masale for quite a few years now in Post Handegaon. Our place is easy to spot because we are right near the Water Tanki. If you are in Taluka Basmathnagar and see that big tank, you are basically at our doorstep. Our day usually starts pretty early, around six in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. We spend most of our time sorting through the raw turmeric. It is a messy job and your hands stay yellow for days no matter how much you wash them. We don't have a big team or fancy office staff. It is just a few of us from the family and some help from the village when we have a big batch to finish. The machines we use for grinding the masalas are loud, so we don't talk much while they are running. We just focus on the work. Sometimes the dust from the spices makes us sneeze, but you get used to that after a while. The building isn't anything special, just a sturdy place to keep the rain off the spices. We don't do much in terms of advertising or big sales pitches. Most people around here just know where we are. We keep the bags stacked up near the door for when the trucks come by. It is a simple way to live and work. We just keep doing what we know how to do.
