Kishor Dall Mill

Kishor Dall Mill is located on Akola Road in Basmat. Our place is right at the post, so it is easy for the trucks to find us. We have been in the business of milling pulses for quite a while. The mill itself is a large shed with a high tin roof. When it rains, the sound on the roof is so loud you can't hear yourself speak. We have several machines that process the raw dall into the finished product. There is always a lot of dust in the air, and we all wear cloths over our faces when the machines are running. The yard outside is made of packed dirt and it gets quite muddy when the weather is wet. We work with farmers from all around the Basmat area. They bring their crops in trailers and we weigh them on our big scale. It is hard, physical work. We spend our days hauling heavy sacks and making sure the machines don't get jammed. The office is just a tiny room with a fan and a few plastic chairs for when people come to settle their accounts. We don't have any corporate branding or anything like that. We just focus on getting the milling done correctly. It is a noisy, dusty, and busy place, but it is what we have been doing for years and we are used to the rhythm of it.
