Swastik Motors

Shop number 769 is where we spend our days. It is in Phase 2 of the Automobile Market which is a pretty huge place once you get inside the main gates. Most people use the Barwala Chungi as a reference point when they are trying to explain to someone where we are located. There are so many motor shops around here that it can get a little confusing for anyone who does not come by here often. The sound of engines and tools is basically the background music of our lives and we do not even notice it anymore. It is usually quite greasy and loud but that is what you expect in a proper auto market. We have been here at Swastik Motors for a good while and have seen the market change quite a bit over the years. My hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning from working on different things. We do not have any fancy waiting rooms or air conditioning like the big showrooms you see in the center of town. It is just a practical shop where the work actually happens and things get fixed. There is a small tea stall just around the corner where we usually go when things slow down for a minute or two. The parking can be a real headache on Saturdays when everyone brings their vehicles in for checkups and repairs. You have to navigate through a lot of spare parts and old tires just to walk down the aisle to our shop. Swastik Motors is just one of many but we take our daily tasks seriously.
