We run a small office for Bank Loan And Tax Related Financial Assistance here in the Kolkata144 area. It's basically just a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets filled with papers. Dealing with taxes and bank paperwork is a lot of reading and checking numbers over and over. It’s not the most exciting work but people around here need help with their forms and applications. We spend a lot of time on the phone with banks or looking at government websites that keep changing their layouts. The office gets a bit cramped when more than two people visit at once but we make it work. We have a small tea kettle in the corner for when the afternoons get long and we need a break. We aren't big time bankers in expensive suits. Just regular people who understand the paperwork and how the system works. Sometimes the printer jams right when we need to finish a document for a client. That's just part of the day and we fix it. We keep track of all the different deadlines so our clients don't get in trouble with the tax office. It’s a lot of responsibility but we’ve been doing it for a while now so we are used to it. The street outside can be loud with the Kolkata traffic but we just shut the window and keep working. We try to explain things in a way that makes sense to people who don't like reading all that fine print.
