Bhutkar Tailors & Company

Bhutkar Tailors & Company is tucked away in the Kala Shopping Centre over on Midc Bhigwan Road. If you are driving down Bhigwan Road Midc, you might miss the turn if you are not looking for it, but we have been part of this little hub for a good bit of time. The shop is usually filled with the sound of machines running and the smell of different fabrics piled up on the work tables. Our days start early, usually with a lot of measuring and cutting. The light in the shopping centre can be a bit hit or miss depending on the time of day, so we have some extra lamps set up around the stations where the real work happens. It is not a very large space, but we make use of every corner, from the shelves where we keep the threads to the hooks on the walls for finished pieces. Most people who come in are regulars who live nearby or work in the industries around here. They know where to find us in the complex. We do not have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name on the door and the work sitting out where everyone can see it. It gets a bit crowded when a few people show up at once, especially on Saturdays, but we just keep moving through the tasks. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until we close up for the night.
