Roy Bamboo Company

Roy Bamboo Company is right here in the village of Nishiganj. It’s a quiet place, mostly. We work with bamboo because that is what is around us. It’s a very common material here. We started this because there was a need for it in the village and the nearby areas. We don't have a big factory or anything like that. It is more of a yard where we keep the poles and work on them. Nishiganj is a small place, so everyone knows where we are located. We don't need a map to find our neighbors. Working with bamboo is hard on the hands, but it’s what we know. We spend our days sorting through the pieces and making sure they are ready for whatever they are needed for. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, but we manage. We aren't a big corporation with offices in the city. We are just local people working with what the land gives us. It’s honest work. Most of our days are spent out in the open air. We don't have a lot of fancy machinery. Just the basic tools that have been used for years. It’s a slow process sometimes, but that’s just how it goes with bamboo. Roy Bamboo Company is just a part of the daily life in Nishiganj village. We like the pace of things here. It suits us fine.
