Century Aluminium Mfg. Company Limited is over in Peerless Nagar, specifically at B-19/302. That’s in the P.O.-Panihati area of Kolkata 700 114. We work with aluminium, which means it gets pretty warm around here. It’s an industrial spot, so there’s always the sound of metal moving or trucks idling outside. We’ve been in Kolkata for a long time. The neighborhood is full of people who work in shops or small factories like ours. Our space isn't very large, but we make it work. We have pieces of metal stacked up in the corners and the floors are never really clean because of the dust from the machines. We make different parts and pieces out of aluminium. It’s basic manufacturing. We don’t have a website or anything like that usually, just people calling us on the phone or dropping by. My desk is covered in old invoices and some spare bolts. We eat our lunch together usually. The fan in the ceiling squeaks, but you get used to it. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It's just a regular life here. We aren't doing anything fancy, just making sure the orders go out on time. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. We just keep our heads down and get the job done every single day.
