Anand Traders

Anand Traders is located right in the middle of Belgachia, Shyambazar. If you have ever been to this part of the city, you know how narrow the lanes can get and how much history is in the walls. We have been operating out of this small space for quite a long time. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find glass walls or air-conditioned lobbies. It is more about old wooden desks and piles of ledgers. We trade in various goods and have built a decent reputation just by being consistent. Most of our neighbors are also our friends, so the workday involves a lot of tea and quick chats over the counter. We don't go for big digital ads or anything like that. Instead, we rely on the people who have been coming to us for decades. Our staff is small, usually just a couple of us who know the inventory by heart. The traffic in Shyambazar can be a nightmare sometimes, but we’ve learned the best times to move our goods so we don't get stuck in a jam. We just try to provide what people need at a price that makes sense. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't worry about being a big corporation. We just want to make sure the shop stays open and the customers are satisfied when they leave our counter in Belgachia.
