Singla Rice Mills

Singla Rice Mills is based over in Barnala. We are specifically located in Chota Chowk. If you know the area, we are quite close to Baba Ganda Singh Public School. Having a mill in a place like this means there is always a lot of dust and noise, but that is the nature of the work. We deal with rice all year round. Harvest time is the busiest, of course. That is when the trucks start lining up and we barely have time to sit down for a meal. The mill has been a part of this community for a while now. We aren't doing anything fancy or high-tech; it's mostly about the grit and the daily grind. The machinery needs a lot of looking after, and someone is always fixing a belt or cleaning out a hopper. Most of us here grew up in or around Barnala, so we know the people and the land. It’s hard work, and your clothes always smell like grain by the end of the shift. We don't have a big marketing department or a fancy website. People know where the Chota Chowk is, and they know our name. That’s usually enough for us. We just focus on getting the rice processed and out the door. It’s a simple life, even if the work itself is heavy and tiring most days. We just keep our heads down and get the job done.
