Nauhria Rice & General Mills

You can find Nauhria Rice & General Mills right on Barnala Road. It’s a busy place with a lot of movement. We handle both rice and other milling jobs, so there isn't much downtime. The machines are pretty much always humming in the background. We have been here for a long time, and the place has grown bit by bit over the years. We don't have a fancy office or any corporate polished look. It's just a working mill with a lot of dust and noise. We spend most of our time out in the shed, making sure the grain is moving through the rollers properly. It’s hard work, and your lungs definitely feel the dust at the end of the day. We don’t use any marketing people to tell our story. We just show up every morning and do what needs to be done. We know most of the people who bring their crops here, and they know us. Sometimes the trucks have to wait in a long line on the road, but we try to keep things moving as fast as the machines allow. We aren't trying to be the biggest mill around, just one that people can rely on to get their work done. It is a tough business, but it is what we have always done. We don't need much more than a steady supply of grain and a working motor.
