Deol Brick Kiln Owner

I’m the owner of Deol Brick Kiln, and you can find us out on Jhaloor Road in Sanghera. It’s a quiet area compared to the city, mostly surrounded by fields and open space. This business has been a part of my life for a long time. The kiln is the heart of everything here. We spend our days watching the weather and tending to the fires. When the season is right, we’re working from dawn until late at night. It’s a lot of mud, water, and heat. Sanghera is a small place, so I know most of the people who come to buy from me. We don't have a big corporate structure or a marketing team. It’s just me and the workers out in the yard. We talk about the local news and the price of coal while we work. The road can get pretty rough when the heavy trucks are moving, but that’s just life on Jhaloor Road. Sometimes the bricks don't bake perfectly, and we have to sort through them by hand to pick out the broken ones. It’s not an easy way to make a living, but it feels good to see a house being built with the bricks we made right here. We keep things simple and don't try to be something we’re not. It’s just a local kiln doing what it’s always done, year after year, regardless of how much things change in the bigger towns.
