Kissan Battery Company

We've been at College Road for a while now, right by the Old Bus Stand here in Saket. People usually stop by when their bike or car won't start, which happens a lot with the heat around here. We just keep a stock of different batteries for whatever shows up. It's a busy spot because of the buses. Most days it is just us checking terminals and swapping out old units that have seen better days. The shop isn't fancy. We have stacks of boxes and some tools laying around. If you are coming from the main road, you can't miss us near the stand. It gets dusty with all the traffic. We deal with locals mostly, guys driving rickshaws or families from nearby. Sometimes a farmer comes in needing something for a tractor. We just do the work and try to keep things moving. There is always tea going somewhere nearby. It's a straightforward setup. We don't do much else besides batteries and maybe some charging if someone's plate is low. Saket is a good place to be based. The hours are long but that is just how it is. We see the same faces every week. It’s mostly about knowing which battery fits which vehicle without having to look it up every single time. We keep the floor swept but there's always a bit of grease. That's just part of the job here.
