We are located on the Barnala Sangrur Road, right in the middle of the village area. It’s a wide road, so the big milk tankers don’t have much trouble getting in and out. The weather here in Barnala can be quite extreme, freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer. We’ve got a big yard where the trucks park. Most of our day is spent checking the temperatures and making sure the storage tanks are working right. It’s a lot of stainless steel and pipes everywhere. The sound of the cooling system is a constant hum in the background. We have a small office at the front where we keep the logs. Most of the workers are from the local villages, so we all know each other. It’s not a glamorous job, especially when you’re cleaning out the vats at the end of a long shift. We get our milk from the nearby farms. Sometimes there’s a delay because of a tractor breakdown or a blocked road. We just take it as it comes. We’ve been here for a good while and have seen the district change quite a bit. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or marketing. We just focus on the milk and the trucks and making sure everything is loaded on time.
