PNP HANDLOOM LLP

PNP Handloom is based in Balotra, right near the old bus stand. You can find us in the Mahant Nirmal Das area. We’ve been working with handlooms for quite some time. It’s a traditional type of work, so there isn’t much high-tech stuff going on here. Most of it is done by hand or on older machines that we’ve had for years. The area is quite noisy because of all the buses and people moving through the station. We’ve got a group of weavers who know exactly what they’re doing. It’s hot in Barmer, so the workshop can be a bit tough in the middle of the day. We don’t have an air-conditioned showroom or anything like that. It’s just a place where the work happens. We focus on the yarns and the patterns. Sometimes the dyes don't come out exactly the same every time, but that’s the nature of handmade things. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing people. Most of our business is just through the folks who know the quality of our handloom work. We send things out from the bus stand frequently since it’s so close. It’s a practical setup for us. Every day is about keeping the looms moving and making sure the piles of finished cloth are ready for whoever needs them next. We just keep our heads down and work.
