About Needybridge Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Barmer
If you head over to the Dhan Mandi in Rawatsar, you can find us at Shop No. 75 B on the first floor. It’s right in the middle of all the market noise, which we kind of like. We’ve been here for a bit now, setting up this foundation to bridge the gap for people who are falling through the cracks. It’s not a large office, just a small shop space that we converted. You have to walk up the stairs, and it can get a bit crowded when we have visitors. We spend our days answering the phone and meeting with folks from the surrounding villages. Most of the time, we’re just regular people trying to figure out how to help a neighbor get what they need. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just talk plain English and local dialect and try to get things done. Some days are slow, and other days it feels like we can't catch our breath. We handle everything from the cleaning to the accounting ourselves. It’s a lot of work, and sometimes we make mistakes with the filing or forget to order more tea, but we’re learning as we go. We aren’t looking for awards. We just want to make sure that when someone in Rawatsar needs a hand, they know there's a place in the Mandi they can go.
