Jain Industries

If you look behind the PNB bank in the Ricco Industrial Area Second Phase, you’ll find Jain Industries. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s never really quiet around here. There’s always the sound of some machine running or a truck backing up nearby. Our space isn't much to look at from the outside, just a large gate and some brick walls, but inside we are always doing something. We spend a lot of time checking the machines and making sure the raw materials are ready for whatever we’re making that week. The heat can get pretty intense during the summer months, especially with the metal roof overhead, but we have a few big fans that help a little. We have workers who have been with us since we started, so they know the routine better than anyone. It’s a lot of physical work and staying on your feet. We don't spend much time in the small office area unless we have to do the bills or talk to a supplier. Mostly, we are out on the floor. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing a belt or a motor, which can be frustrating, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We’ve grown used to the dust and the constant hum of the industrial area. It’s where we belong and where the work gets done every single day.
