Assistance Billing (Sub-Contractor)

We are over in Barmer, working as sub-contractors for the billing side of things. Our office is near the Hutch Tower in Mahaveer Nagar, specifically at the L&T site on Ah-49. It’s a dry place, and the wind blows the sand around quite a bit, but we’ve gotten used to it. My day is mostly numbers and invoices. It’s not the most exciting work, but it has to be done right or nothing else moves forward. We aren't the big bosses; we just handle the assistance for the billing department. Being in Rajasthan means we deal with a lot of local heat and the occasional power cut, but we make do with what we have. Most of the people working here are local or have been here long enough to feel like it. We have a few desks and a lot of folders. The Hutch Tower is a good landmark for people trying to find us since the street names can be a bit confusing sometimes. We try to keep things simple and just focus on getting the bills sorted for the main contractor. It's steady work. We don't have a website or anything like that because everyone who needs us already knows where the office is. We just show up, do the entries, check the totals, and go home when the work is finished. It’s a small operation but we keep the wheels turning for the bigger projects around here.
