Taj Ganges, Varanasi

We are tucked away in Kuju, right over by the G.M. Office. Our space is c/o Sri R.S.B. Singh CCL. It is not the most glamorous spot in Jharkhand, but it is where we do our thing. We handle stuff for Taj Ganges here. Mostly it is just paper and phone calls. The air is often heavy with dust because of the local mines, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the desks. It feels like a never-ending battle. We have a small crew. We sit around the old wooden table and figure out the day. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back. It is a slow pace but we like it that way. We aren't a big corporate hub. Just people working in a small office in Hazaribagh. We know the postman by name. The pin code is 825316 if you ever need to mail anything. We don't have any fancy signs. If you find the G.M. office, you are basically there. We have been here for a while and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. But the work gets done and that is what matters to us. We aren't trying to be anything we are not. It’s just us, working through the files and making sure things are moving along for the Varanasi side of things. It’s a long way from the river, but we manage.
