Vikash Kirana Store

Vikash Kirana Store is right near the post office in Badkhiripada. We’re not too far from the Mayurbhanj area. Being a kirana store, our place is filled with all kinds of things like bags of rice, pulses, and everyday items people need for their kitchens. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for the neighbors. The shop is usually busy in the mornings and evenings when people are heading out or coming back from work. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just shelves filled with goods and the smell of spices in the air. We spend our time weighing out items and chatting with the locals who come in. Everyone knows everyone around here, so it’s a very friendly atmosphere. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to stack boxes in the middle of the floor until we can sort them out. It’s a bit messy at times, but that’s just how a busy store is. The post office nearby brings a lot of foot traffic past our door, which is nice. We’ve been running this store for a long time and have seen the kids in the neighborhood grow up. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We don’t bother with any big advertisements. People just know where we are. It’s just a honest local shop that has been here for years.
