G. P. Marbels

G. P. Marbels is located on the ground floor in the D`Sahi area, right near the Baripada Court. It is a solid, old building and we have a lot of space for the marble slabs. Moving these pieces of stone is no joke; they are heavy and you have to be careful not to chip the edges. The shop is often cool inside because of all the stone, which is nice when it’s hot outside in Baripada. We have stacks of different marbles leaning against the walls. Some are from nearby and some come from further away. Being near the court means there are always people walking by and a lot of cars parked on the street. We don't do much in the way of fancy displays. We just show the slabs as they are, sometimes wetting them with a bit of water so people can see the pattern better. Most of our customers are local folks building their first home or fixing up an old one. We spend the day shifting stone, talking to contractors, and checking the measurements. The floor is covered in a bit of grit, but that’s just how it is in a marble yard. We have been in D`Sahi for a good while and people know where to find us. It’s a plain, honest business. We just sell the stone and help people get it onto their trucks.
