Vedanta Aluminium Limited

The office at Chichinda in Bargarh is a bit more rural than our other spots. Being out here in this part of Orissa means we are surrounded by a lot of farmland and open space, which is a nice change from the crowded cities. Vedanta Aluminium Limited has a presence here to keep things moving between the plants and the transport routes. The building is simple and sits right in the community. We see a lot of the local folks passing by on their way to the fields or the market. Inside, it’s just a few desks, some sturdy chairs, and the usual office equipment that struggles a bit when the weather gets too hot. We don't have air conditioning that works perfectly all the time, so we rely on the breeze when we can get it. The work is mostly about coordinating logs and making sure the supplies are where they need to be. It’s quiet compared to the big hubs, but there’s still plenty to do. We usually start early before the sun gets too high and try to get the heavy lifting done by midday. There isn't any corporate polish here. It’s just us, some paperwork, and the occasional tea break with whoever stops by. It feels like a real part of the village life, even though we’re part of a much bigger company. We just do our bit and go home.
