Sharma & Sharma Engineering Works

You can find Sharma & Sharma Engineering Works right on Railway Station Road. It’s a loud place because of the trains passing by and the sound of metal being worked on inside. We’ve been at this location for quite some time. The workshop is usually full of shavings and oil, but that’s normal for an engineering place. We fix things and make parts when people bring them in. It's mostly me and a few guys who have been here forever. We don't have a receptionist, so if you walk in, you just have to yell over the machines to get someone’s attention. Usually, someone is welding in the back or turning something on the lathe. The tea stall next door is where we take our breaks. It's not a corporate office, just a shop where work gets done. Sometimes we stay late to finish a job if a customer is in a hurry. The roof leaks a little when it rains hard, but we moved the electrical stuff so it's fine. We handle all sorts of repairs. People from the district come here because they know we don't overcomplicate things. We just look at the part, tell you if we can fix it, and get to it. It’s straightforward. We’ve seen the road change a lot over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We like the work we do here.
