Out in Bargarh, Orissa, our office is located in the Dungri area. It’s specifically in the D L Q C C area, which is very close to the heart of the operations. Working in a place like this means you’re always close to the action. The environment is dusty and busy, with trucks and machinery being a constant part of the background. Our office is a very practical building. It wasn't designed to look pretty; it was built to be a place where we can get work done. We have our desks set up in a way that makes it easy to talk to one another. There is no corporate polish here. We talk plainly and we deal with issues as they come up. Most of the people working here have been in the industry for a long time. We know the local roads and the local people. We don't have any fancy mission statements hanging on the walls. We just have maps, schedules, and a lot of coffee mugs. The power can be a bit unreliable sometimes, and the roads aren't always in the best shape, but that’s just life in this part of Orissa. We keep our heads down and focus on the daily tasks of managing the site and the logistics. It’s a tough, honest job and we are just a group of people doing our best to keep everything on track.
