Jeevan Ayurveda

Jeevan Ayurveda is our place in Subhash Nagar. It is a small shop where we keep all sorts of traditional things. We have rows of jars filled with different powders and oils. Subhash Nagar is a nice residential area, so we get a lot of local people walking over from their houses. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to keep so many things in stock. Sometimes the floor gets a little sticky if an oil bottle leaks, but we try to keep on top of the cleaning. We don't have a computer for the sales, we just use a bill book and a pen. It feels more natural that way. The light in the shop isn't very bright, so we sometimes have to take things to the door to read the labels properly. We have been here for quite some time, and the sign outside is starting to peel a bit. We don't mind much as long as people can still find us. The neighborhood kids sometimes play cricket in the lane outside and we have to watch out for stray balls. It is a quiet kind of life here. We aren't trying to be some massive brand. We just like talking to the customers and helping them find the right herb or oil. It is a lot of sitting behind the counter and waiting for the next person to walk in and ask for something.
