Bansal Plastic

We are situated in Bareta Mandi, which is part of the Mansa district in the Bhatinda Sahar region. Life in a mandi is always tied to the crops and the changing seasons. When it is busy, the whole street is full of tractors and people, but during the off-season, it gets very quiet. We sell various plastic items that are useful for the people living and working around here. Our shop is a very plain building with a big iron shutter that we pull up every morning. We don't have any staff in uniforms or glossy advertisements. Most of our customers are farmers or small shopkeepers from the nearby villages who have been coming to us for years. We have a couple of plastic chairs where people can sit and rest for a while. Sometimes we spend more time talking about the weather and the crops than we do talking about business. My son helps me out with the heavy lifting and the deliveries now. The walls are a bit stained from the rain and the dust, but we don't let it bother us. We have a small desk where we keep our calculator and our ledger. It is a simple way of living and working. We don't have any big plans for the future, we just want to keep serving the community here in the mandi like we always have.
