You can find our small office at number 10 in Kela Bagh, which is right near the Krishna Hospital here in Bareilly. The office itself is pretty simple and unadorned. We have a few old wooden desks and some plastic chairs for when people come in to talk about their accounts. It gets a bit dusty because of all the road traffic, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the surfaces and the windows. We started this because folks in Bareilly needed a local place they could actually walk into without feeling intimidated. We aren't interested in being a big corporation with shiny glass windows and expensive carpets. We prefer it this way, where we can see what's happening on the street and be part of the neighborhood. Sometimes the light in the back flickers a bit, but we’ll get around to fixing it eventually. Most of our day is spent looking at ledgers and talking to neighbors about their records. It’s a lot of numbers and signatures. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a simple bench and maybe a newspaper from yesterday.
