Siya Trade Store

The store is located in Shiv Nagar, and it's pretty much a standard part of the neighborhood now. We open up early because that’s when people are out getting their things for the day. It’s not a huge place, just a regular trade store where we keep a bit of everything on the shelves. Sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for because we keep getting new stock in and shoving it wherever it fits. The front door stays open most of the day to let a breeze in, but that also lets in the dust from the street. We spend a lot of time chatting with the regulars who live nearby. It’s more of a community spot than a big retail outlet. The floor is concrete and showing its age, and the shelves are made of wood that’s seen better days. We don't really do much in the way of decoration. We’ve got some old calendars on the wall and a small radio that usually plays local stations in the background. Dealing with suppliers is the most hectic part of the week, especially when the trucks try to navigate the narrow roads around here. Most of our day is spent counting inventory or helping someone find a specific item they need for their house. It’s a steady kind of life, and we’re happy to be part of the Shiv Nagar landscape. It’s just us doing our daily rounds.
