Shree Maruti Motor Driving & Training College has been around near the Satelite Bus Stop in Bareilly for quite some time. If you live nearby, you’ve probably seen our white cars with the red 'L' signs driving slowly through the streets. Driving in Bareilly can be a bit of a headache with all the rickshaws and cows, so we spend a lot of time teaching people how to stay calm. The office is a small place where we keep the registers and the keys. People come in, sign up for their classes, and we figure out a time that works for them. Most learners are pretty nervous at first, clutching the steering wheel too tight, but after a few days, they start to relax. We have a few different instructors who take turns going out with the students. The cars aren’t brand new, but we keep them running okay and the clutches are always getting checked because beginners tend to be hard on them. It’s a basic business. We don’t have fancy simulators or anything like that; we just get out on the actual road and practice. Usually, we meet near the bus stop and start from there. It’s loud and busy, which is actually a good way to learn how to handle a vehicle in real life. We just keep doing what we do every day and helping people get their licenses.
