About Shree Bankey Bihari Furnitures – Furniture in Bareilly
Our shop is at number 292 in the Siklapur Furniture Market. If you’ve ever been to the market, you know it’s a bit of a maze with all the wood and sawdust everywhere. We’ve been in this same spot for years. The shop is usually crowded with chairs, bed frames, and tables that are halfway finished. It smells like fresh cut wood and polish all the time, which I’ve grown to like. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It’s just a workspace where we build things and show them to whoever walks in. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked by trucks unloading timber, and things get a bit chaotic. We have a few guys who have been working with us since they were young. They know how to handle the tools and they don't rush the work. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the market, just a place where you can get a solid piece of furniture that won't fall apart in a year. The floor is always covered in shavings no matter how much we sweep. It’s a noisy place with the sound of saws and hammers going from morning till night. We take our lunch breaks together in the back of the shop. It’s hard work, especially when it’s humid, but it’s what we know how to do. You just learn to live with the dust and the noise every day.
