Down on Sailani Road in the Old City, that’s where you’ll find us. Amir Creation has been here for years. The Old City is always crowded and the streets are narrow, but that’s the charm of it. We do a lot of creative work, mostly stuff with fabric and designs. It’s a small shop and it’s always full of scraps and thread. We don't have a fancy showroom. We just have our machines and our worktables. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, but that’s just life in this part of town. We don't have a big team. It’s just a couple of us who know how to sew and design. We take orders from people who walk in or heard about us from a neighbor. Every piece we make is a bit different because we aren't a factory. We take our time with things. Some days we are buried in work and other days we just sit and drink tea while waiting for someone to stop by. It’s a relaxed way of doing things. We don't care about being famous or huge. We just like making things that look nice. If you come to Sailani Road, you’ll hear the sound of the machines humming away. That’s us. We’ve been doing this since we were young and we don't plan on stopping anytime soon. It is just what we do to get by.
