R. K. Pulses Pvt. Ltd.

You can find R. K. Pulses Pvt. Ltd. out on Bahadurpur Road in Razau Paraspur. It’s a bit of a drive from the main town, but it’s where we have the space for our storage. We work with all kinds of pulses, mostly sorting and cleaning them before they go out to the wholesalers. The road can be rough after the rains, so we spend a lot of time worrying about the transport trucks getting stuck. It’s a straightforward operation. We have a few guys who have been with us for ten years or more. We don’t bother with fancy titles or meetings. We just meet in the morning, see what needs to be loaded, and get to it. Sometimes the dust from the lentils gets everywhere, so we keep the fans running all day long. My office is just a small room with a wooden table and a bunch of files stacked in the corner. We get people stopping by from the nearby villages to see if we’re buying their harvest. It’s a quiet area for the most part, except when the machinery is going. We’ve had some tough years with the droughts, but we managed to keep the doors open. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to do our part in the supply chain and keep things moving along for the local farmers. Most days we finish up around sunset and lock up the big gates.
