Vastram Boutique

Vastram Boutique is situated right opposite M. B. Inter College on Nanital Road. It’s a busy spot, especially when the school lets out and the street is full of students and parents. Our shop is full of rolls of fabric and half-finished outfits hanging on the racks. We spend most of our time at the sewing machines or measuring out cloth for customers. The sound of the machines is pretty constant throughout the day. We have a few big mirrors and a small area where people can look through design books. Nanital Road is a main thoroughfare, so there’s always noise from the traffic outside. We don’t do any big advertising; most of our customers are people who live nearby or parents from the college across the street. We’ve been here for a good while now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s just a local boutique where we focus on tailoring and making clothes that fit right. Sometimes we get a rush of orders for a wedding, and the whole place gets covered in scraps of silk and thread. We try to keep things tidy, but it's hard when you're busy sewing all afternoon. We like the location because it’s easy for people to find. We open in the morning after the first school bell and stay until the evening. It’s a steady job and we enjoy being part of the local community here on Nanital Road.
