Pal Engineering Services

Our shop is at number 3 in the B. D. A. Complex. It is a busy place where many people come and go for different things every day. Pal Engineering Services is just one of the units tucked into this building. Most of our mornings start quite early with a hot cup of tea from the stall nearby before we even think about opening the shutters. The air inside usually smells like old metal and a bit of engine oil. We spend most of our time looking at various parts and trying to figure out how they are supposed to fit back together. It is definitely not clean work. Our hands usually stay dirty and the concrete floor has some dark stains that won't come out, but that is just how it goes. The complex itself gets very loud during the middle of the day. You can hear cars passing and people from the other shops doing their business. We have a couple of old, creaky chairs for when someone needs to sit down and wait for a bit. There is no fancy furniture or big glowing signs here. It is just a simple, practical place to do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a loud clicking sound when it is on high, but we have gotten used to it. We know most of the other folks working in the complex by name. We say hello and sometimes share a little snack in the afternoon. It is just a normal, steady routine for us. We stay here until the evening light starts to fade away. Then we lock the heavy doors and finally head home.
