Lotus & Serpent Foundation

Our little spot is located at Shop 136 in Civil Lines, right at the Circuit House Chauraha in Bareilly. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always a lot of noise from the traffic and people shouting. Lotus & Serpent Foundation is based right here in the middle of it all. The shop isn't very large, but it’s enough for what we do. We have a counter and some shelves that have seen better days. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to make things look pretty. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes by. Bareilly has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it. Most days involve a lot of tea and talking to people who walk in off the street. We handle various tasks, mostly just helping out with things that people find confusing. The floor is a bit uneven, and the paint is peeling in the corners, but it feels like home to us. We’ve been at this chauraha for a bit now, and most of the other shopkeepers know us by name. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We just do our work, close up in the evening, and go home like everyone else. If you need us, you just look for the sign near the circuit house. We are usually there unless there’s a local holiday or the rain is too heavy to get through.
