L. H. Sugar Factory

L. H. Sugar Factory is located out here in Bareilly district. It’s a place that’s been around for a bit and we spend our days making sure things keep running smoothly. Working in a factory means there is always something that needs fixing or a machine that needs checking. We aren't a corporate office with fancy suits; it’s mostly just us in our work gear trying to hit our numbers. The area around Bareilly is home to a lot of people who depend on work like this. We see the same faces every morning and that makes it feel a bit more like a community than just a job. The smell of the processing is something you never really get used to, but it’s the smell of work getting done. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy stories about what we do. It’s just sugar. We produce it and send it off. It’s hard work and the hours can be long during the peak seasons, but we manage. We’ve seen the seasons change here many times. Sometimes the equipment acts up and we have to stay late to sort it out. That’s just how it goes in this line of work. We try to keep things simple and honest. If the machines are humming, we are happy. It’s a straightforward life in the factory and we don’t ask for much more than that. We just focus on the production and getting it out on time.
