Iram Indian Crafts

We have been operating here in the Old City for a good while now. Our workshop is located at Shadi Mahal in Roheli Tola, which is a pretty crowded part of town. It is not a fancy place at all. Most days, Iram Indian Crafts is just a bunch of us sitting around piles of materials, trying to get things finished. The noise from the street is always there, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We started out small with just a couple of people, and now we have a few more hands helping with the daily work. It gets quite dusty inside when we are sanding things down or moving stock around. We don't have a big showroom or anyone to greet you at the door. It is mostly just a workspace where we focus on what we know how to do. Sometimes we run behind on our tasks when the weather is too humid or someone needs to take a day off for a family thing. That is just how life goes here. My cousin handles the phone calls while I stay in the back with the makers. We use simple tools and spend most of our time looking at wood and fabric. It has been this way for years and we like being in this neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing without much fuss or any big plans for changing things.
