Gobindram Ram Kumar Dal Mills

We are tucked away in Kalibari, right here in Bareilly. Gobindram Ram Kumar Dal Mills has been our life for quite a long time. It’s a bit of a crowded area, but we like it. The streets are always full of people and carts. Inside the mill, it’s mostly just the sound of the equipment and the smell of raw pulses. We don't do things in a very fancy way. It’s about the work. We start early, usually before the sun is fully up, to get a head start on the day's processing. It’s a local business, through and through. We know the people who bring us the grain and the people who buy it. Sometimes the bags get heavy and our backs ache by evening. That’s just the way it is when you’re running a dal mill. We have a small office where we keep the books, but most of us are out on the floor. The walls in Kalibari have been here forever, and so have we. We don't have a website or anything like that, just a sign out front. It’s honest work. Bareilly is a good place to be for this kind of thing. We take the grains, we mill them, and we get them back out. It’s a simple cycle. We hope to keep doing it just like this for as long as we can. There is no reason to change how things are done.
