Gaurav Brick Works

Down on Rampur Road, you’ll find us working away most days. It’s a busy stretch of road, and we’ve been part of it for a long time now. C.B. Ganj is where we set up, mostly because it’s easy for the tractors to get in and out without much trouble. Gaurav Brick Works isn't a massive company with a board of directors or anything. It’s just us. We spend our days handling raw earth and watching the chimneys. The sun gets pretty hot out here, but the work doesn't stop because people need their supplies. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for years. They know the rhythm of the place better than anyone. We don’t bother with fancy brochures or websites. If someone needs bricks for a new room or a boundary wall, they just drive down Rampur Road and talk to us directly. We show them what we have sitting in the yard. Sometimes the batches look a little different depending on the soil we get that month. That's just how it goes with local making. We try to keep things moving so there's always stock ready for the trucks. It’s a lot of manual labor, stacking and loading day in and day out. My boots are always covered in red dust by the time I go home. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if it’s loud and messy most days.
