First Choice Holidays

You can find us on the first floor of Butler Plaza, right near Chowki Chauraha in Civil Lines. Being at A-21 means we get a lot of people walking by while they are out doing their shopping. First Choice Holidays is a small setup. We have a few desks, some maps on the wall, and stacks of brochures that sometimes get a bit dusty. People come in wanting to go somewhere else, and we spend our time looking at flight timings and hotel bookings on our computers. The internet can be slow some days, which makes things frustrating when we're trying to confirm a booking. We hear the noise from the street below all day long. It's a busy part of Bareilly, so there’s always something happening outside. We don’t have any fancy software to do the work; it’s mostly just us typing things into websites and making phone calls to travel agents. Sometimes we stay late because a customer has a lot of questions about their train tickets or hotel vouchers. We drink a lot of tea while we work to keep our energy up. The office isn't very big, so it gets crowded if more than two families show up at once. We try to keep track of all the different holiday packages, but there’s always a new one popping up. It’s a lot of coordination, but we’ve gotten used to the pace over the years and we just keep at it.
