Ashrafi Zardozi Embroidery Boutique is located at number 251 in Bihar Kalan. We are right here in the Izatnagar area. If you come by, you’ll see us working on various pieces of embroidery. It’s a lot of sitting and very slow work with needles and thread. The boutique isn't very big, but it is packed with different colors of fabric and supplies. We’ve been in Izatnagar for a long time, and most of our customers are people from around the neighborhood. They usually come to us because a friend told them about our work. We don’t do any big advertising or have a fancy storefront. It’s just a simple place where we do our craft. The lighting inside is very important for the fine zardozi work, so we have big lamps over all the work tables. It can get a bit dusty from all the thread, but we keep things as clean as we can. We like the quiet nature of the work, though it can be tiring for the back and the hands. Bihar Kalan is a friendly place and we enjoy being a part of it. We don't use a lot of computers or modern machines; most of what we do is by hand. It takes time to finish a single piece, and we don't believe in rushing the process. That is just how the work goes here.
