Arif Zari Art is situated in Harharpur Matkali, over in the Nawabgunj area. We are quite close to the Bank of Baroda, so that's usually how people find their way to us. Zari work is what we do here, and we’ve been doing it in this same spot for a good while now. It’s not a big factory or a high-end studio. It’s more of a traditional workspace where you can hear the sounds of work going on all day. Nawabgunj has a busy atmosphere and being near the bank means there’s always a flow of people nearby. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. You just walk in and see us working on the frames. The patterns take time and we just sit and focus on the details. Sometimes the light in the workshop is just right and everything looks great. We don't use any complicated business strategies. We just take the orders as they come and try to finish them on time. The Harharpur Matkali area feels like home to us, and the people around here are mostly neighbors we’ve known for years. It’s a small operation, just a few hands making things. We don't do much advertising because most people find out about us by word of mouth or by just walking past the shop near the bank. It’s just a simple, local business doing what we know best and keeping the tradition going in our own way.
