You can find us in Palsana, right by the Siddharth Hotel. It’s a good spot because people staying at the hotel or stopping for a meal often realize they forgot a charger or their phone has a cracked screen. The shop is called Omkar, and it’s a simple room with a couple of display cases and a repair bench in the back. I don’t have any fancy signs, just the name on the front. I spend a lot of time cleaning the glass on the counters because people are always leaning on them. The area around the hotel gets quite busy during the lunch hour, and I usually see a lot of travelers passing through. I have a small toolkit with some specialized bits for opening up different brands of phones. Most of the time, I’m just replacing batteries or fixing charging ports that got jammed with pocket lint. There’s a small fan on the ceiling that wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving. I like to keep a few spare cables on the hooks for when someone is in a real hurry. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just fixing things and talking to people who are on their way somewhere else. I usually close up when the hotel lights go bright in the evening.
