Our office is located in Durgapur, over at the Pets Housing Cooperative Society in City Centre. We are in 5/4, Abanindra Bithi, which is a fairly easy place to find if you know the Burdwan district. Being in a housing society means it’s a bit more relaxed than a downtown office block. We deal with various industrial exports and projects, which is common for this part of West Bengal. The name sounds a bit complicated, but we are just regular people working here. Durgapur is such an industrial hub, so there is always something going on with the steel plants or other big works. Inside, our office is full of files and old computers. We spend our time coordinating things and making sure the paperwork for the exports is in order. It’s a lot of technical talk and logistics. Sometimes we have visitors from out of town, and we show them around the City Centre area. It’s not a flashy place, but it works for what we need. We’ve been here for a good number of years now, and the staff knows the local way of doing things. We just come in, do the work, and maybe have a break at the local canteen. It’s a quiet, steady life here in Durgapur. We don't try to impress anyone, we just focus on getting the shipments and the papers moving through the system.
