Our office is located in V.K. Nagar, right here in Durgapur. The address is B2-381/1, and it’s where Singh Construction Corporation runs everything from. West Bengal has been our home for a long time. Working in construction means we spend a lot of time on site, but this little spot in Durgapur is where the planning happens. It’s a practical space. We’ve got desks piled with drawings and dusty boots near the door. The traffic around V.K. Nagar can be a bit much in the mornings, but we managed to get used to it. People in the colony know us. We aren't a massive corporate entity despite the name; it’s really just a group of us trying to do a decent job on every project. Sometimes things go slow when the rain hits during monsoon season, and we have to shuffle the schedule around. That’s just part of the reality here. We deal with brick, cement, and steel every day. It’s tiring, but seeing a structure finally stand up straight is a good feeling. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. Usually, people find out about us from someone else in town. We keep our tools sharp and our records in order at the B2-381/1 office. It’s a straightforward way of living. We just focus on the next brick and the next bag of cement. Durgapur is a solid place to work, and we like being part of the community here.
