The office is located at Uttaran, Amtala, right on the Golapbag More Saraitikar Road in Rajbati. The pin code is 713104. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address, but local people usually just know where the More is. Being Simplex in this part of West Bengal means dealing with the changing seasons, from the heavy rains that make the road muddy to the dry months when everything is covered in a thin layer of grit. The building itself is pretty plain. We have a desk that’s a bit too small for all the ledgers we use, and there’s always a stack of papers that needs sorting. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule; we get here in the morning and leave when the work is finished. Sometimes that’s early and sometimes it’s late. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who have been here long enough to know where everything is kept. The walls are mostly bare except for a few old notices and a clock that runs five minutes fast. We like it that way because it keeps us on our toes. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find polished chrome or leather chairs. We use what we have and focus on getting through the day’s tasks without making too much of a fuss about it.
