It’s quite a different vibe from the city offices. We are located in a simple building that fits in with the village surroundings. There’s a lot of greenery around us. Sometimes you can hear the birds or the sounds from the nearby farms while we work. The office itself is modest. We have a few rooms filled with project files and some old wooden furniture. It gets pretty humid here during the monsoon. The roads can get a bit muddy, but that’s just how it is. We aren't here to look important. We are here to get the work done on our various projects in the district. Most of the staff are locals or have been staying nearby for a long time. We eat at the local stalls and know the neighbors by name. It’s a quiet life but the work keeps us busy enough. There’s a lot of walking back and forth between the office and the sites. We don't have fancy air conditioning in every room, just the essentials to stay comfortable. It’s a practical, hardworking atmosphere. We just focus on the task at hand and keep things running as best as we can from this small village spot. It’s a good place to be.
