Shankar Machinery Stores

You can find us right on G.T. Road, just across from the Gurudwara at number 110. It’s a busy spot with trucks and cars always zooming by. We’ve been here at Shankar Machinery Stores for quite some time now. Our shelves are packed with all sorts of heavy parts and equipment. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we try to keep everything someone might need for their machinery. We get a lot of farmers and factory guys coming in looking for specific bolts or belts that they can't find anywhere else. Sometimes the floor is a bit cluttered because we just got a new shipment in and haven't put it all away yet. It’s just me and a couple of helpers mostly. We aren't big on fancy displays or bright lights. The machines are heavy, and moving things around is hard work. If someone comes in asking for something we don't have, we try to tell them where else they might look, but usually, we have the basics covered. The dust from the road settles on everything, so we are always wiping things down. It is a simple business. We open early because that’s when people need their parts to get their day started. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that, just this one shop by the road where we do our thing every day. We don't mind the noise from the traffic much anymore.
